Stop Being Lazy and Start Living Life!
1. Set Clear Intentions
Setting new goals wakes you up and gives you a fresh breath of life. Humans were designed to aim and seek, and it’s so crucial for a healthy life that when we have nothing to aim for, we fall into a slump and lose our motivation.
When we have nothing to look forward to, and we’re not challenging ourselves, we get sloppy. Make some new goals and aims for yourself to get your motor running. What do you want your life to look like and what would have to happen for you to get there?
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” – Walt Disney
2. Be Who You Are
Deciding who you want to be will give you a clear goal to aim at while at the same time learning what you don’t want to be or do.
When you know who you are, you can remove everything toxic from your life that isn’t supporting your goals and plans. Sit down with a piece of paper and write down all the personality traits you want and all the ones that don’t serve you and that you’ll get rid of.
3. Do What You Want
Deciding what we want is just as important as determining the type of person we want to be. When you know what you want, you simultaneously make better decisions about your life.
Write down the type of lifestyle you’re working towards making your reality. What kind of home do you want to live in?
Are you in a relationship or single? Have you moved to a foreign country and started new life? Decide what you want and make a plan to go and get it.
“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” – Zig Ziglar
4. Have a Plan
A goal or idea needs a good plan. Everyone talks about what they want to have in their life but asks to see their plan, and 99% of the time, they don’t have one.
Life is made up of so many moving pieces we can’t know every detail that will come up along the way. So we need a plan to keep us on track and focused on our outcomes.
When you have a clear map to follow you can use your time and energy on what counts and forget about what doesn’t.
5. Positive Habits
Your life is a culmination of your daily habits and your life experience. Our habits are what shape and mold our lives, so if we get too lazy or unproductive, we need to shake up our daily routines.
By establishing new habits, we can phase out old patterns and replace them with activities that align with who we want to be.

6. Read and Learn
If you want to reinvigorate your life and shake off the lazy lifestyle, start expanding your mind. The more you grow your mind and your ability to think effectively, the more you enjoy life and live in abundance with a champion mindset.
Choose a few books about areas that interest you related to your goals and start reading. We can learn a few ideas from books and implement them to change our whole lives. Learning isn’t just reading. It’s observing, thinking, watching, and listening.
“It is not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?”– Henry David Thoreau
7. Get Outside
Humans aren’t supposed to spend all their time indoors so it’s no wonder we get lazy and lose our motivation. We need to get up and get out of the house and head out into the world to fulfill our life goals.
Nothing worthwhile will fall into your lap; you have to go out and get it. Thinking about something and expecting to manifest it without any physical effort is crazy! Anyone successful will agree.
Even getting outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine is a gift to your mind and soul. Getting out into nature; you’ll be amazed at how many good thoughts come to you, and how good you’ll feel.
“Make each day your masterpiece.”– John Wooden
Changing environments is as therapeutic as any self-help seminar or psychiatrist appointment. We are products of our environment, and when we spend a long time in one place, we lose the perspective that there’s so much more out there than our day-to-day lives.
Traveling is a way of leaving your everyday life behind and heading into the unknown. There are so many beautiful places on earth to experience.
When you find a place that synchronizes with your soul, you’ll feel more inner peace than you ever thought possible. That’s the place you should be.

9. Make New Friends
The people we have in our lives are essential elements of our existence. If lazy people surround us, we move towards laziness. But when we spend time with productive, goal-oriented people, we don’t let ourselves off the hook so easily.
Making new friends doesn’t mean you have to ditch your current friends, but if they’re a toxic influence on you, you should probably ditch them.
10. Write a Journal
Writing is one of the best forms of self-therapy and development you can do for yourself. Your journal can have truly magical effects in your life when you put pen to paper and write about your observations each day.
There aren’t any set rules and you can write anything in your journal. But the most significant growth and development I’ve seen come from writing about yourself, your life, and your thoughts and experiences.
As you write and delve into your psyche, you start realizing epiphanies about your life that you didn’t see before.
And don’t think you have to write a novel each day; even one page of dot points with observations you’ve made throughout the day can be a life-changing activity.
11. Start a New Project
Starting something new that gets your jets going will move you from laziness and into a more productive mindset. What’s something you’ve wanted to do forever but never have?
What’s something meaningful that you feel excited thinking about and has a massive potential payoff? We all have an inner calling inside our hearts, but all too often, our fear of failure and laziness keeps us from seriously pursuing it.
Now is the time to put our fears aside and go for it. Nothing is guaranteed for tomorrow. All we have is the gift of today. Don’t waste your life in laziness! Set some goals, make a plan and get out there and take action!
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle” – Steve Jobs
