Goals And Objectives

You Must Have Goals

Let's talk about goals.

It's undeniable they play a key role in attaining success.

Goal setting is used by billion dollar corporations and people just starting out on their way to success.

Having goals keeps you excited and focused.

When you know where you want to go you're a lot more likely to get there.

Without goals you get distracted by unimportant things that waste your time.

Your Goals Should Be Unique to You

When you have a clear goal and a reliable plan to back it up no one can stop you.

Certainty and determination will get you started and keep you going until you have what you want.

You're brain is your personal computer.

It needs orders to follow and objectives to meet.

When you're brain latches onto your most important goals and you start taking action, the world steps aside.

Your goals wont achieve themselves for you.

You have to put in the work.

Forget the law of attraction, follow the law of action.

Goals And Objectives

6 Ways How to Go After Your Goals

1. Have Total Clarity About Your Outcome

The first step to achieving any goal is to decide what it is.

What do you want and what are you willing to do to get it?

There's always a price to pay.

Know what that price is and be sure you're willing to pay it.

Being vague or indecisive about your outcomes won't do much for you.

If anything it will only waste your time.

Think about what you want.

Get clear on why you want it and how your life will be when you have it.

Summarise your goal in one or two sentences.

Give your mind clear and constant direction.

Keep it simple and to the point and repeat this daily.

2. Think of Your Goals in the Present Tense

Always state your goals in the present tense.

Saying “one day I'll travel the world” vs “I am now travelling the world” are two different messages.

One message is somewhere in the future.

There's no urgency or immediacy to it.

The second one is right here, right now. It's done.

The closer your goals feels the more motivated you'll be.

Vague statements like “one day” and “I will” are a fantasy.

Your brain thinks "oh one day? That means I don't have to do anything now, so I'll kick back for a while".

Virtually anything is possible if you're willing to do what it takes.

Language is powerful tool. Use it to your advantage.

Be conscious of the language you use when you communicate with yourself.

State your goals in the present tense.

Use language and sentence structures that excite you and fires you up.

3. Write Your Own Script

You now have your outcome clearly stated in the present tense i.e. “I am now travelling the world.

Now write a script around your goal.

Your script is like a short story.

Write about your experience as if you were there right now, enjoying the moment.

Eg "I’m on the Greek island of Santorini sipping Uzo and gazing at the beautiful view of the Mediterranean ocean. I feel healthy and relaxed ”.

How do you feel? What do you see? Who are you with?

Choose your top 3 goals and use this method.

Read and rewrite your script everyday.

Add details that trigger you and excite you.

Your mind will start accepting your goal as a realistic objective and start moving you towards it.

When you get an idea or a flash of inspiration take action on it immediately.

4. Use dynamic language and vivid imagery

Use dynamic language and vivid imagery when you speak and think about your goals.

When you see yourself having the goal use bright, sharp colours.

Put movement into the scene and add some sounds.

Make the pleasure of having it so absolute that your mind starts to crave it.

You must have it.

You'll do whatever it takes.

Now you're serious about your goal.

Your mind is a missile locked onto it's target.

When you think of your goals and feel butterflies you know you've embedded them into your mind.

What changes to your self do you need to make to become the person you could be?

What type of person do you need to be?
