5 Ways How to Manifest Your Dream Life
Can You Manifest Success?
Let's talk about how to manifest.
This article isn't a fluffy law of attraction post telling you to all you need to do is "think about what you want and it will appear".
Any successful person will tell you that's rubbish.
This article is a practical guide to getting what you want through persistence, determination, and hard work.
The most direct way to success is to know what you want, have a plan in place to get it, and a burning desire to do what it takes to succeed.
There’s a misperception in a lot of self help when it comes to success and the law of attraction.
The misperception is that all you need to do is think about something and it will appear.
I've actually heard a well known law of attraction guru say you don't need to do anything except think about what you want and feel good.
Self-help is a billion dollar industry selling an illusory version of success to naive and desperate people.
There’s no magic fairy that will deliver your goals to you without any real work on your part.
The methods for manifestation in this article take repetition and consistency of application.
Most people reading this won't have the desire and commitment to stick with it.
Don't be one of them. Be a finisher. Follow through and make it happen.
Success requires daily application of these principles until they become habit.
I've personally used this blueprint to change my own life.
If you're serious about becoming a better version of yourself and having a great life, read on.
Here are the 5 ways to manifest success.
Let's dive in...
5 Ways to Manifest Your Success
1. Visualisation and Mental Rehearsal
You have to know your outcome.
Give your brain a clear target to aim for.
Visualise a picture in your mind of what you want to achieve.
Experience that vision in your mind as if you're actually living it.
Bring into focus the all the senses you will experience when you have this in your life, as if it's already happening.
If you visualise a house by the beach see yourself standing right there looking at the view.
Feel the sand in your toes as you stand on that beach.
Feel the warmth of the sun and hear the waves on the shore with the birds flying overhead…
Give your mind a compelling vision to move towards.
Visualise yourself making clear progress towards your desired outcome.
See yourself making the calls, meeting the right people, and doing the work.
Visualise yourself overcoming the inevitable obstacles and self doubt.
Use your mind to pre-pave the path from where you are now to where you want to be.
2. Have Clear Goals and Plans
Writing your goals down keeps you focused on your purpose.
It’s an amazing feeling to look at a list of goals you set and realising you now have them.
Goals give your life direction, structure and meaning.
Set objectives and desires for yourself that empower you and move you towards the type of life you want.
A few things to remember when setting your goals;
- Write goals in the present tense.
- Start your goals with ‘I am’ or ‘I have’.
- Don't overwhelm yourself. Chunk your goals down into micro goals to gain traction towards the bigger goal.
- Write and think about your goals daily.
- Once you’ve written your goals run your finger along each line. Fully absorb the words and the goal then close your eyes for a moment and picture in your mind as if you already had it.
- Take action on the very next step you need to take to get closer to what you want.
3. Use External Imagery
All change change takes place on the unconscious level.
The human mind thinks in a primarily visual modality.
An image stays in your mind forever if the experience held enough emotional significance.
Think back to when you were a child.
You probably still have images that have stayed in your mind to this day.
The images you form in your mind are reflected in the reality you see around you.
Use this for your advantage.
Bombard yourself with images of the people, places and experiences you want to have in your life.
Place images in places you'll see each day.
A great idea is to make your own screensaver with pictures of all the things you want to have in your life.
Sounds cheesy but you want to give your brain instructions on what to focus on.
If you go to canva.com you can create your own wallpaper for free.
When you open your computer, close a program, or go back to desktop view, you'll see images of your future life.
A nice reminder of what's to come.
4. Be As if
To get what you want you have to be the type of person who already has it.
You need to adopt new habits, thoughts and behaviours.
As your mindset and personality starts to change you begin to transcend who you now are to become who you want to be.
Nothing is possible without putting in sufficient work to get it.
Charlie Munger said “To get what you want be the type of person who deserves it”.
You've probably heard the phrase “act as if”. Instead of acting as if, try being as if.
Don’t act the role actually BE the role. Ask yourself “how would a person who has _____ think?”.
How would a ______ person think and act?”
Whatever the answer, decide to start being that person today.
The purpose of “be as if” is to rewire your neurology.
Start thinking and acting as if you are the person who already has what you want.
Don't dream about it or even talk about it.
5. The Law of Action
You'll never get what you want without taking some form of action to get it.
The timeframe and extent to which you'll achieve your goals depends on the amount of action you take.
To only think about something won't bring it to you.
Focusing on your outcome will present you with opportunities you didn't see before.
But you have to take action when you see them.
What separates people who get what they want and people that don't?
Their ability to keep taking action until they have what they want.
One of my mentors John Assaraf taught me something invaluable.
The Law of GOYA: Get Off Your Ass!
John was in 'The Secret', a movie made in 2008 promoting an over simplified version of the law of attraction.
John points out that the film left out the most important element of the process. Action.
The Law of GOYA: Get Off Your Ass.
If you want something, get off your ass and do something to get it.
It won't happen unless you work to make it happen.
People want the easy solution where they don't have to do anything.
These people never rise above mediocrity.
If you do nothing, nothing happens.
Use the techniques we've covered in this article and you'll start seeing positive changes in your life.
Change is small at first, almost imperceptible.
But as you progress and gain momentum the positive effects become more noticeable.
One day you'll look around and realise you're living the life you once dreamed about.
That’s real way to manifestation.
A clearly defined vision backed by determination, commitment and action.
